About Us

TCBA was founded in 2007 by Stephen Cheliotis and Ben Hudson.

Stephen Cheliotis is a Director and Chief Executive of The Centre for Brand Analysis. He is a leading commentator on branding and a frequent guest on CNN, the BBC and Sky.

Stephen began his career at global brand valuation and strategy consultancy, Brand Finance, where he advised companies on maximising shareholder value through effective brand management. His annual study of City Analysts was vital in understanding the importance of marketing metrics in forecasting companies’ performance. It become a highly anticipated study and is still the only brand report to gain real penetration and engagement within the square mile.

He joined Superbrands UK in 2001 with a remit to elevate the organisation’s profile. He became Managing Director in 2003 and was promoted again to a European role in 2005 where his expertise was used across 20 countries. As the public face of Superbrands he built the brand into a powerful name across the UK and Europe. Stephen continues to chair the UK Superbrands, Business Superbrands and CoolBrands Councils.

Ben Hudson is a Director of The Centre for Brand Analysis. He is an entrepreneurial businessman with over 15 years of international experience and an MBA from London Business School. Ben spent nine years in Miami and the Caribbean where he ran the region’s largest operator of shore excursions before returning home to study at LBS. Thereafter he became Publisher and COO at Boat International Group where he oversaw offices in the UK, USA, France, and Germany and led the business through a successful sale to private equity in 2004.

Ben purchased Superbrands UK in 2006 and continues to run the business as its full time Chief Executive.
